Faculty of Geology of mineral deposits

 The purpose of the faculty is to train leading geologists with fundamental knowledge about mineral resources and their priorities in the economy of Uzbekistan, who are able to perform theoretical and practical work.

Currently, there is 1 department at the faculty, which has the following 3 educational directions of the bachelor's degree:

  • 5314900-Geological survey, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits;
  • 5315100-Equipment and technology of geological exploration;
  • 5315000-Geophysical methods of prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits.

There are 2 master's specialties at the faculty:

  • 5A311715-Prospecting and exploration of ore and non-metallic mineral deposits;
  • 5A140813-Geochemistry, mineralogy and petrology.

The faculty has 1 full - time, 3 part-time doctors of Science, professors, 8 candidates of science-associate professors and 2 senior lecturers.

Currently, 115 bachelors and 54 undergraduate studies at the faculty.

Including undergraduate courses:

  • 5314900-Geological survey, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits – 26 students in Uzbek and 30 students in Russian groups. There are 56 students in total.
  • 5315100-Engineering and technology of geological exploration - 28 students in the Uzbek group;
  • 5315000-Geophysical methods of prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits – 31 students in the Uzbek group.

Including master's degree programs:

  • 5A311715-Prospecting and exploration of ore and non-metallic mineral deposits – 28 undergraduates;
  • 5A140813-Geochemistry, mineralogy and petrology – 26 undergraduates;
