Center of Geoinnovation Technologies (CGT); provides services in the fields of analysis and technological testing for geology sciences. The primary task of CGT will be to carry out chemical, physical, mineralogical and petrographic analyzes and technological tests on the samples of the projects included in the annual work program of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of UZBEKISTAN, and to lead industrial studies by developing technological processes on a pilot scale.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Confidentiality, Integrity, Reliability

As CGT, we will carry out all our activities in a way that will fulfill the requirements of the ISO / IEC 17025 quality management system, by prioritizing the tests required by the customer, good professional practice and quality service understanding.

The services to be carried out within the scope of analysis/testing and technological activities will be carried out independently and impartially, ensuring that they are fast, error-free and precise.

Analysis/testing services will be provided in accordance with national/international standards and validated methods.

It will be ensured that all personnel participating in the tests learn the documents prepared within the framework of the quality management system created in accordance with the TSE EN ISO / IEC 17025 standard and carry out the test studies in accordance with the policies, procedures and principles written in these documents.

By minimizing the complaints received from the customer through feedback, continuous improvement will be made and the results will be delivered to the customer as soon as possible.

Periodic participation in national and international proficiency and comparison tests will be attended to ensure the reliability of analysis/test results.

ANALYTICAL SERVICES

Within the scope of analytical services, there are different laboratories where analysis and testing of geological samples are carried out. These laboratories: geochemistry, hydrochemistry, hydrocarbon, physico-mechanics and mineralogy-petrography.

Geochemistry Laboratories use different analytical tools for chemical analysis of geological samples and to reveal analytical results. It is important in the determination of underground resources. Various geological materials such as soil, rock and sediment can be analyzed chemically. The pre-treatments applied to the samples to be examined are generally grinded to a certain size and then treated with different chemicals and analyzed using any of the various analytical methods/instruments. The most common methods are: gravimetry, volumetry, titration, AAS: atomic absorption spectrometry; FA: fire assay; ICP-OES: Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optic Emission Spectrometer; ICP-MS: Inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometer; XRF: X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer;

The main tasks and services provided by Hydrochemistry Laboratories can be expressed as determination of physical properties of ground and surface water samples, Quantitative chemical analysis of water and salt deposits (ammonium ions, nitrites, phosphates, total phosphorus), determination of heavy metals. Ion Chromatography for the determination of major anions (eg bromide, chloride, nitrate, sulfate, phosphate) and major cations (Na, K, Mg, Ca, Li and ammonium) in ground and brine waters. AAS for the determination of the main and transition elements, Titration device for the determination of the m and p values of natural water, ICP-OES and ICP-MS are used for the determination of the main and trace elements.

In Hydrocarbon Laboratories, analysis and tests are carried out in order to develop processes related to the development and production of oil and gas fields. Some analysis to be performed using ASTM, ISO and other accepted industry standard tests and procedures: API Gravity, Density, Water Content, Sulfur content, Sulfur Content and Determination, Sulfur Types Determination, Chloride and Chloride Content, Hydrogen Sulfide analysis, Pour Point, Vapor Pressure, Salt content, Viscosity.

In Physico-Mechanical Laboratories, researches on the properties and behavior of geomaterials such as soil/rock and rock mass are conducted. The physical, mechanical and rheological properties of these materials are determined. Some physical parameters investigated are: Specific gravity, density, unit weight, Porosity, void ratio, Moisture content, degree of saturation, Permeability. Some mechanical parameters investigated are: Elastic Modulus, Tensile strength, Shear strength Properties, hardness.

In Mineralogy-Petrography Laboratories, information is obtained fundamentally for the mineral load and demand of the rocks depending on the minerals, as well as for the design of mining costs, quality control assessments of production quantities and consumer use of natural mineral consumption. Minerals are modifiers both qualitatively and quantitatively using different methods and delivery. The values of the textural parameters of minerals and rocks are determined. Devices used in analyzes made in accordance with international standards: electron probe micro analiz (EPMA), optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).

In Technology Laboratories, studies are carried out in order to turn the ores containing different minerals into suitable raw materials according to their physical or physicochemical properties and according to the needs of the industry with an economic approach. Some of experiments are: enrichment by density difference, enrichment by separation according to magnetic properties, enrichment by electrostatic separation, enrichment by flotation and chemical dissolution methods.
