In order to implement the results of scientific research in the field of geology, the widespread use of modern teaching methods, a radical improvement of the system for training highly qualified personnel in the field of geology, as well as strengthening the material and technical base of education based on advanced foreign technologies. It was created in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-4740 "On measures to organize the activities of the University of Geological Sciences in the system of the State Committee of Geology and Mineral Resources." The university prepares geologists for 8 undergraduate degrees and 9 master's degrees.
